Mivian Indoglobal Management Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and passionate Tandoor Chef to join our culinary team in The Pearl, Doha, Qatar. This full-time role is ideal for individuals with a Doctorate in Culinary Arts or related fields who are eager to apply their expertise in traditional tandoor cooking within a luxury hotel setting.
As a Tandoor Chef, you will be responsible for preparing authentic tandoori dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. This role offers a competitive salary range of 1-2 LPA and the opportunity to grow within our esteemed hospitality establishment.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of authentic tandoori dishes including breads, kebabs, and marinated meats using traditional cooking techniques
- Monitor and maintain proper cooking temperatures and tandoor oven conditions
- Ensure consistent food quality by adhering to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service of all tandoor items
- Maintain strict cleanliness and sanitation standards in the tandoor section
- Manage inventory of tandoor ingredients and supplies
- Develop new tandoor menu items in collaboration with the executive chef
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in tandoor preparation methods
- Comply with all food safety regulations and hotel policies
Required Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Doctorate degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or related field (preferred)
- Certification from a recognized culinary institute with specialization in Indian/Pakistani/Middle Eastern cuisine
- Food Safety Handler certification (or ability to obtain one)
Skills & Experience
- 0-1 years of professional experience working with tandoor ovens
- Strong knowledge of tandoor cooking techniques and ingredients
