Key Responsibilities

As a Tank Fabricator / Fitter, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to fabricate and assemble tanks.
• Perform cutting, shaping, and welding of metal components to construct tanks according to project requirements.
• Operate and maintain fabrication tools and equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Inspect fabricated parts for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet deadlines and specifications.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols and industry regulations at all times.
• Conduct repairs and modifications on existing tanks as needed.
• Document fabrication processes, materials used, and any issues encountered.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC).
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to use fabrication tools (grinders, cutters, drills, etc.).
• Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Understanding of safety standards in welding and fabrication.

Education & Experience

• Graduation or Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in tank fabrication and fitting.
• Prior experience in the Oil & Gas Construction industry is preferred.

Work Environment

This role involves working in an industrial setting with exposure to:

• High-noise environments.
• Heavy machinery and equipment.
• Potential exposure to fumes and hazardous materials.
• Physical demands, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
