Tank Fabricator Job - Oil & Gas Construction Industry

About the Role

Asiapower Overseas Employment Services is seeking a skilled Tank Fabricator to join our Oil & Gas Construction team in Muscat, Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling high-quality storage tanks, pressure vessels, and related structures in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

This is a full-time position in the Quality Control department, requiring 3-5 years of hands-on experience in tank fabrication within the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal tanks and pressure vessels according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment including welding machines, cutting tools, and metalworking machinery
• Perform quality checks on fabricated components to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve fabrication challenges
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations
• Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
• Document fabrication processes and maintain quality control records
• Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with fabrication equipment
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for fabrication processes

Required Qualifications

Education & Certification

• Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or related field
• Certification in welding or metal fabrication preferred
• ASME certification or equivalent is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in tank fabrication in the oil & gas industry
• Proven experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metal alloys
• Experience with various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc welding)
• Familiarity with quality control procedures in industrial fabrication

Work Environment

This is an on-site position in our Muscat, Oman facility. The work environment includes:

• Industrial workshop and fabrication area

• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
• Physical demands including standing, bending, and lifting heavy materials
• Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required
• Strict adherence to safety protocols at all times
