About the Role
RK Travel Services is seeking a skilled Technical Mechanic (Medium/High Speed Engines) to join our Engineering team in the Oil & Gas industry. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines and related mechanical systems in industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with medium/high-speed engines and strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in medium/high-speed diesel engines.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on engines and auxiliary systems.
- Disassemble, reassemble, and test engine components to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety and environmental regulations.
- Document maintenance activities and submit detailed reports.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new engine systems.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing medium/high-speed diesel engines.
- Familiarity with engine control systems and fuel injection systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, torque wrenches, and precision measurement instruments.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Understanding of OSHA and other relevant safety standards.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role based in Dammam or Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The position may require working in industrial settings, including exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
