Job Description: Testing Operator (Oil & Gas Industry)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Testing Operator to join our Operations team in Muscat, Oman. This is a full-time position in the Oil & Gas sector, requiring hands-on expertise in surface well testing. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and possess an ITI certification.

This role is based in Wadi Kabir, Muscat, and offers a competitive salary range of 10-15 LPA, commensurate with experience.

Job Responsibilities

As a Testing Operator, your primary duties will include:

• Conducting surface well testing operations to evaluate well performance and fluid properties.
• Operating and maintaining testing equipment such as separators, flow meters, and pressure gauges.
• Monitoring and recording data during well testing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and coordinating maintenance activities.
• Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Collaborating with engineers and field personnel to optimize testing procedures.
• Preparing detailed reports on test results and operational activities.
• Assisting in the setup and dismantling of testing equipment at well sites.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in surface well testing techniques and equipment.
• Strong understanding of oilfield operations and well testing protocols.
• Ability to interpret and analyze test data accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Education & Experience

• ITI certification or equivalent technical qualification.
• 3-5 years of experience in well testing operations, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Familiarity with industry-standard testing software and tools.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in challenging weather conditions.
• Comfortable lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Willingness to travel to remote well sites as needed.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role located in Wadi Kabir, Muscat, Oman. The position involves working in the field, often in remote locations, and may require extended shifts or weekend work depending on project requirements.
