Job Overview

Asiapower Overseas Employment Services is seeking highly skilled TIG & ARC Welders (6G Certified) to join our team in Muscat, Oman, for a prestigious Oil & Gas Construction project. The ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in high-pressure welding applications, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

As a TIG & ARC Welder (6G), you will be responsible for executing critical welding tasks in compliance with safety and quality standards. Your duties will include:

• Performing TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and ARC (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) operations on pipelines, structural components, and pressure vessels.
• Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications to ensure accurate execution.
• Conducting welding in all positions, including 6G certified (vertical, horizontal, and overhead).
• Ensuring weld integrity through inspection, testing, and adherence to ASME, API, and AWS standards.
• Maintaining equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, and adhering to preventive maintenance schedules.
• Collaborating with the Quality Control department to verify weld quality and compliance.
• Following strict safety protocols to prevent workplace hazards and injuries.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Certification: Valid 6G Welding Certification (TIG & ARC).
• Experience: 3-5 years of welding experience in Oil & Gas, Construction, or related heavy industries.
• Education: Diploma or Graduation in Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, weld symbols, and using welding equipment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in extreme conditions (heat, confined spaces, heights).
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of PPE, OSHA standards, and hazardous material handling.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following skills will enhance your application:

• Experience with automated welding systems.
• Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods (e.g., UT, RT).
• Familiarity with pipefitting and fabrication processes.
