Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tyreman Technician to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This full-time position is within the Construction industry and falls under the Mechanical Engineering department. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in tyre maintenance and a strong technical background from ITI or equivalent certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and replace tyres for heavy construction equipment and vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal tyre performance and safety.
- Diagnose tyre-related issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Operate tyre-changing machines, balancing equipment, and other relevant tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of tyre inventory, repairs, and replacements.
- Collaborate with the mechanical team to optimize equipment performance.
- Provide guidance to junior technicians and apprentices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in tyre inspection, repair, and replacement.
- Strong knowledge of tyre types, tread patterns, and pressure standards.
- Ability to operate tyre maintenance machinery (e.g., changers, balancers).
- Experience with heavy-duty vehicles and construction equipment.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
Education & Experience:
- ITI certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Tyreman Technician or similar role.
- Prior experience in the construction industry preferred.
Work Environment
This role is based in Abu Dhabi City and requires on-site presence. The work environment involves exposure to outdoor conditions, heavy machinery, and occasional physical labor. Safety gear and protocols are strictly enforced.
