Welding Engineer

Job Overview

Mivian Indoglobal Management Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Welding Engineer to join our dynamic team in Muscat, Oman. This is a full-time position in the Oil & Gas and Engineering & Construction sector, requiring 3-5 years of hands-on experience in welding processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in welding, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement welding procedures to ensure quality and efficiency in projects.
• Review and approve welding specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Conduct weld inspections and tests to verify the integrity of welds.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and optimize welding processes for various materials.
• Troubleshoot welding-related issues and provide technical solutions.
• Train and supervise welding personnel to ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of welding procedures, inspections, and test results.
• Ensure all welding activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Evaluate new welding technologies and recommend improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, Arc, and Resistance welding).
• In-depth knowledge of welding metallurgy and material properties.
• Familiarity with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, API).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.

Education & Experience

• Graduation or Diploma in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Engineering sector.
• Certification in welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP, CWI) is a plus.

Salary & Benefits
