Welding Supervisor/Foreman – Oil & Gas / Engineering & Construction

Job Overview

Arvind Manpower Solutions is seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor/Foreman to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas and Engineering & Construction sector. This role is critical in overseeing welding operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and leading a team of welders to meet production targets. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, strong leadership skills, and a diploma or graduation in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Welding Operations: Oversee daily welding activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a team of welders, providing guidance on techniques, safety, and productivity.
• Quality Control: Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure all team members follow OSHA or equivalent regulations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Monitor welding equipment and machinery, scheduling regular maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other supervisors to align welding operations with project timelines.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of welding procedures, inspections, and material usage.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot welding defects or process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of welders.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of welding techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, arc welding) and industry standards.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to inspect welds for quality and precision.
• Safety-First Mindset: Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard prevention.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for team coordination and reporting.

Education & Experience:

• Education: Diploma or graduation in Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on welding experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction projects is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with potential opportunities in the UAE and Qatar. The role involves working in industrial settings, including fabrication shops, construction sites, and oilfield locations. Candidates must be comfortable working in physically demanding conditions and adhering to strict safety protocols.
