Job Overview

As a Workshop Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing marine electrical systems and other electrical equipment in our workshop. This role requires hands-on expertise in electrical systems, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and repair marine electrical systems and components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in workshop equipment.
• Install and maintain wiring, control systems, and electrical panels.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations (e.g., OSHA, IEC).
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Assist in the procurement of electrical parts and tools.
• Provide technical support for offshore and onshore projects as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with marine electrical systems (1-3 years).
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of AC/DC systems, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Basic understanding of PLCs and automation systems is a plus.

Educational Requirements

• Diploma or Graduation in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Certifications in electrical safety or marine systems (preferred).

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
