Key Responsibilities and Daily Duties

As a WPR (Valid Card) holder and QA/QC Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our client's quality management system. Your deep understanding of industry-specific protocols will be essential in maintaining the integrity of operations. Your primary duties will include:

  • Implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) management systems in accordance with international standards and project specifications.
  • Conducting meticulous inspections of materials, equipment, and processes at various stages of production and construction to ensure strict adherence to defined QA/QC standards.
  • Performing comprehensive audits of internal processes and supplier activities, documenting findings, and driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve non-conformities.
  • Reviewing and approving method statements, inspection & test plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and other technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Generating detailed quality reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and material inspection reports (MIRs) to communicate quality status and issues to project management and stakeholders.
  • Liaising with engineers, production supervisors, and client representatives to align quality objectives and ensure a unified approach to quality management.
  • Calibrating and maintaining inspection tools and equipment to guarantee accuracy and reliability in all measurement activities.
  • Promoting a culture of quality and safety within the team, providing training and guidance to junior staff on QA/QC best practices and standards specific to the Oil & Gas sector.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this pivotal WPR (Valid Card) role, candidates must demonstrate a strong blend of formal education, practical experience, and specific certifications.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid WPR card is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.
  • An ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in a relevant engineering or quality discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years and up to 10 years of direct, hands-on experience in a QA/QC role within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • In-depth, practical knowledge of international QA/QC standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, API, ANSI) and their application in oil and gas projects.
  • Proven experience in conducting material inspections, welding inspections, and coating inspections.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Additional certifications such as CSWIP, BGAS, NACE, or ASNT NDT Level II are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multi-cultural teams and clients.
  • Proficiency in using standard QA/QC software and tools for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Resilience and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
